Why do people bootlick? Is it wrong to do it?

why do you think people actually take pains to bootlick others, when deep inside they, perhaps, never wanted to say those stuffs?
it's for survival. no one wolud ever force themselves to do something they dont want, unless they will gain something from it.
i dont like bootlickers. i dont know why. i know it's a way to keep them alive and help themselves, but i just dont like it. because they are not being true. they are telling lies. it's really horrible to imagine one day when they're sick and tired of it, God knows what they do to their superiors.
i dont know how to bootlick, and basically dont want to, because i dont like bootlickers myself. but sometimes i feel... there is a need for it. if i keep up my "no-bootlick" policy, my relationship with all the bosses i'll ever meet is probably gonna be quite lousy. and i'll probably be a thorn in his/her flesh. and when retrenchment comes, i'll be first on the list.
do you think it's good to bootlick? nono... let me change that.
do you think it's good to say only the good things to your superior?
i should stop hating bootlickers. it's a mean of survival. and i'm gonna have to accept it. because if they dont do it, they might be living a more miserable life.
humans always like to hear the good things.
but the hurtful truth makes one grows stronger and more powerful.
i should learn to adapt to say the good things when needed, and the hurtful-truth when needed.

IT'S GOOD FRIDAY! yesterday, that is.
thursday night went over to FZ's hse and ton. hahaha. it was a very fun and worthwhile time spent.
after work, went home and bathe, den went to clementi's cityvibe. waited for jeremy, jerome and MY to come and play Left 4 Dead at LAN shop. lol. waited for 45 mins -.-" went out too early. bah.
we tried the Expert mode! the hospital map. lol. uber fun. cos the creeps are blardy strong. normal creep whack -20hp. damn pain -.- den tank whack 1 time instant KO, den another 2 more seconds to rip you apart (ouch). witch 1 hit straight visit God. lol. AND IM SO GLAD, BECAUSE WE DIDN'T RESTART ANY ROUNDS AT ALL! and we cleared the whole map! woots.
after that, went over to FZ's hse and settled our laptops for a gaming session, once again! lol. played a few rounds of dota, den went to NTUC to get some overnite snacks. i only gt cup noodles. man, i still dont really like cup noodles -.-
went back, ate some snacks, chat a little, and continued another few rounds of dota! lol. arnd 3am liddat, went to watch [IP MAN] on DVD. IMBA NICE show! and pretty saddening too. stupid war -.- woots. gong fu is imba.
and yeap, back to some more gaming sessions~ dota dota dota... woots. until 8am. den all went to sleep.
2pm, woke up, den we played dota again. abit no life sia -.- hahaha. but seriously it was enjoyable. cos we all interacted, and teamwork, den play until very happy. so it isnt realli no life la. hahahaa.
1 rnd, den we went to eat lunch. thanks FZ's mum
for lunch. woots. i ate chicken breast meat. and surprisingly, i dont find it awful tasting anymore. but of course, still prefer the drumstick
den had 1 rnd of L4D, den went to play PS2 Metal Slug 3, den yeap, back to dota dota dota, until 8-9pm liddat. then got dinner, before coming home. and just nw was still playing dota LOL. mad -.-
well, thats my Good Friday spent on Good Friends hope you guys had a great GOOD FRIDAY as well
