everyone wants to be respected
wants to be heard
but when circumstances prove otherwise
people can get angry

but what is the purpose behind the anger?
it is simply to gain back the status
of being respected and heard

that's why people tend to speak (or shout) louder
when they get angry - they want to be heard
but when you shout at others
people would actually NOT listen
simply because
they seem to have lost the respect from you
and then the vicious cycle goes on

by talking calmly
and giving each other time to think
can, in fact, better reach a point
where the issue causing the anger
will be resolved

you need to talk about
what is causing the unhappiness
what is causing the discomfort
and talk about it directly - don't beat around the bush
but make sure the words
do not instill disrespect to the opposite party

work out the issue between the parties involved
compromises must be made
if no point of agreement can be reached
the issue will remain unsolved

I know it's hard to think so rationally
when you're actually fuming with anger
but try as much as you can
to think about the cause of the anger
get straight to the point
instead of raising your voice
and start assuming things that might not be what you see

give yourself more time to solve the issue - more haste, less speed
