DAY 1, 8th June

Woke up slightly late. 7.20am. Brushed my teeth, took a quick breakfast, and rushed off to meet CK and Ben at 7.40am at Boon Lay MRT. Was late -___- 7.50am then reach. But lucky, we still reached the 2nd destination on time, which was Orchard at 8.30am. Daryl was late though. Lol.

Walked over to Orchard Hotel. Very grand. Took our "passes", and had a cup of coffee before we went in the ballroom for the seminar. The first day was basically just some introductions here and there, no actual hands-on activity.

Some pictures...

The Ballroom we were in

My seat, with paper and pen provided to take notes. And water.

Mentos given. Probably to keep us awake

The toilet! I don't know why, but I really loved the toilet here. Lol

They even have plasma TV here!

Showing Channel News Asia. Wow, I got a similar shot :O Taken at different times o~

Forget to take my lunch picture... This is the dessert. Chocolate Mousse, with a blueberry.

Chocolate Brownies, afternoon snack.

Okay. Now a little bit of text.

There was a total of 5 presentations. The first 2 presentations were done by some people from XNA Developer Team? I don't know. Anyway, due to Swine Flu, aka A H1N1, they didn't fly over to Singapore to give this presentation, since they will be quarantined for a period anyway. So, they webcam-ed and gave a presentation over at US. Because the presentation was more about the features of XNA, I totally didn't catch interest and literally drifted away a few times. In fact, the second presentation was repeating many stuffs in the first presentation, that I actually didn't catch a single word he said -.-

Had lunch break before the other 3 presentations.

The third, fourth and fifth presentation was slightly more of interest to me. This time, the presenters were in Singapore to give the presentation. The third presentation was about what to include in your "Trial Version" of your full game for marketing purposes. They also taught a few things about Game Design, which kinda let me learn something new.

The fourth presentation was about XBOX Live Arcade things. He presented many games that are in the market, the top games, and many elaborations on the games, which really helped me as well. Learnt many points about game design too.

The fifth presentation was about this game where they did up, and actually got recognition. It's inspiring because it was done by students of about my age. They did this Circus kinda game. He showed us the progress during each of their milestones in making the game. Saw the changes they made, the things they did, the things they re-did.

Sadly, after the whole presentation, I still don't know how their game is played -___- lol. Oh, there was this comment they gathered online about their game, which was the presenter's favourite.

This game is f**king awesome

After the whole presentation things, we went down to the bar for their "Social Networking" party. The drinks were FREE. Including the alcoholic stuffs. They even said if you order Water, you'll have to pay $25. Lol.

Got a Red Wine, 2 Sprites, a Gin Tonic, and a Lime Juice throughout the night. Drank a bit of Ching Kai's Bourbon Lime and Clarence's Orange Vodka.

The bar itself

Had a bad headache -.- And was pretty drunk. I was spouting nonsense already, lol. Went to the arcade after that. Had a bit of fun, and went sober again. Then, it's time to go home.

DAY 2, 9th June

Woke up on time this time. Today only me, CK and CK no.2 went for the course.

Today was more hands-on. The presenter gave a webcam tutorial on the programming stuffs. One sad thing was I had little knowledge on C, C++ or C# already. Second thing was that the stuffs on the screen was too blur for me to catch anything at all. In the end, I lost interest -.- Went to teach a little Actionscript to CK instead.

Went for lunch after a long while of not paying attention.

My lunch. Pretty nice

Soup

After that, since we had no interest in learning the language already, we went home.

So here I am. And now, I'm going to be gone for now. So, bye.
